I’m sharing a little more of my story so you can feel comfortable knowing you have a solid resource here in Sarasota and Bradenton when it’s time to deal with the house left behind. And, if you find value in what you’re about to read and know of someone who has an elderly parent or relative living in Bradenton or Sarasota contemplating what to do with their real estate assets, I know we’d all appreciate you forwarding this blog.
You see, if you fit into that group that’s seeking help, I know you. You’re living in another state and searching for an agent on the central west coast of Florida, but not sure how to make the choice. Well, you’re in the right place.
I’m Jude Creamer and having practiced real estate in both Georgia and Florida I can say that I’ve encountered hundreds of different scenarios of home selling and buying and can safely say no two client situations are exactly the same. I love the variety – and I love helping seniors. I give substantial service, guidance, and professional knowledge, resulting in your upcoming transaction being as successful and pain-free as is possible. And that applies even if you’re directing the project from hundreds of miles north.
I’m an independent thinker and an observer. One of the best things about the career I had prior to real estate in the international trade show world as a floor manager and security consultant contractor was the broad foundation I developed. Being able to read people, relate to them, project manage, problem solve, figure out the next step in any process, and to ask tough questions when they’re needed has served my clients well. And best of all – I can do all of this for you while you’re living hundreds of miles away.
My parents lived locally when they faced their golden years. The care went pretty smoothly because all five siblings pitched in. One sister housed Mom, the other Dad, and I handled the estate and served as Executor.
While he was in his eighties living independently about 90 minutes away from us, the four girls took turns on rotation visiting Dad. Every weekend he had his villa cleaned, meals prepared, clothes washed, and time for companionship. We all valued every minute of it – and one of the favorite memories of my sisters and mine is the hand-written sign Dad taped to the wall just to the right of the front door entrance which read: “My favorite daughter is coming to visit this weekend.” That was more than nine years ago and it still touches my heart.
Doing for others and project managing has been a cornerstone of my life and career for many, many years. But concrete convention floors and air travel got old. I took my people-helping skills, my project management prowess, and 25 years ago embarked on a career in the real estate world!
Now, I’m a senior helping seniors. Okay, I admit, I’m on the front edge of the “senior” category but I am there, nonetheless. In this fast-paced world that seems to be speeding up moment-by-moment, the ability to meet your senior home seller where they are is an important skill. Many agents hustle to get the next deal done and skip over the particularly important part that involves truly listening to the client and taking a moment to understand her needs. I’m not that agent. I can work at both your pace and take a deep breath and meet your senior’s (or parent’s) pace, too.
I’m well entrenched in the Sarasota region’s robust professional senior care community.
Anything that’s needed from helping Mom find her new apartment in an independent or assisted living community to reviewing her health insurance or financial picture, organizing her belongings for downsizing, and even providing companion care on an hourly basis … I have a friend for that! I can introduce you to the best of the best.
So, as my mom always said when meeting someone new, “I’m happy to know you.”
I know finding just the right professional to help a valued senior can be difficult when you don’t live in the same city. You now know that there is a professional real estate broker helping a specific and valued segment of our region’s population here in Sarasota and Bradenton that you can count on. It’s my quest to hear you say, “I’m happy to know you.”
