2025… What. A. Year.

First Step to Your Happy Place

Counting Blessings, Curveballs, and Comfort Meals: A Look Back at 2025

Where has the year gone?

Somehow, we’ve once again arrived at that reflective moment when we count our blessings, tuck another year under our belts, and wonder why those belts seem to be shrinking without our consent. As I look back on 2025—affectionately renamed something I absolutely cannot publish on a professional website—I’m struck by how much this year stretched, challenged, and ultimately grounded me.

If you follow my periodic updates, you already know that 2025 delivered its fair share of hurdles in the Creamer household. Greg faced multiple health challenges, and while he kept me on my toes, I’m grateful I stayed healthy enough to keep pace, provide care, and occasionally remind him that laughter is still allowed.

Oddly enough, I’m thankful for the challenges, too. They’ve strengthened me, softened me, and reminded me (more than once) to breathe, slow down, and remember just how much good surrounds us. With that spirit in mind, here are some blessings I’m especially grateful for:

The Helpers, Heroes, and Heart-Lifters of 2025

A Senior Care Community That Shows Up

This year, our incredible senior care network in Manatee and Sarasota counties helped me locate a Sara-Stedy device for Greg—something that normally costs a small fortune—at no cost at all. If that doesn’t count as a small miracle, I don’t know what does.

Sisters Who Arrive Like a Tag-Team Cleaning Crew

My sisters drove down from North Carolina and Georgia just to lighten my load for a couple of days. They took on chores, made comfort meals, and even managed to recreate Mom’s homemade beef stroganoff—because some flavors carry love across decades.

Healthcare Providers With Hearts of Gold

Caring for someone daily isn’t always glamorous. In fact, sometimes it’s the exact opposite. But Greg’s healthcare team continues to show up with kindness, patience, and compassion. Angels don’t always have wings—sometimes they wear scrubs.

41st Street Music Patch Friends Who Pitch In

Our music patrons have become friends who never hesitate to help put away seat cushions or tidy up after an outdoor concert. Florida humidity may melt us all, but they still show up smiling.

Friends Who Bring Pizza and Wine to Rehab

This small act brought Greg a slice of normal life during a time when walking was still out of reach. Friends who deliver pizza and perspective? Keep them.

Pierre and Philipe: Four-Legged Therapy

Our beloved dogs greet every morning walk as the event of the century. And on days when I can’t muster the energy, they forgive me instantly—tails wagging, hearts full.

A Friend Who Went Above and Beyond

One dear friend volunteered to stay with Greg during a business trip—even though the responsibilities might include… tasks only a spouse or parent usually signs up for. His willingness still leaves me in awe.

A Trusted HomeSmart Referral Network

The families relocating to Tampa Bay through my HomeSmart network continue to inspire me. They share their stories, hopes, and dreams—and I get the privilege of helping them find the perfect home for their next chapter.

Musicians Who Bring Joy to Our Backyard

The 41st Street Music Patch is a labor of love. Each month, musicians show up and bring life to our backyard—not knowing how big (or small) the audience might be. Their trust and talent create nights we’ll always treasure.

Clients Who Become Part of Our Story

My out-of-state clients who entrusted me with selling their parents’ homes also took time to check in on Greg and offer support. Their kindness meant more than they know.

A Year We’re Grateful for… and Grateful to Move On From

As much as Greg and I are ready to watch 2025 fade in the rearview mirror, we’re also deeply thankful for what it taught us. There were moments this year when Greg’s journey could have ended—but it didn’t. And for that, we are profoundly grateful.

Thank you for being part of my world, my senior care community, and my business family. Your referrals, trust, and encouragement mean the world to me. Of all the blessings I count, your support is among the most special. You remind me that each of us has a unique way of making a difference in the world—and you’ve certainly made one in mine.

Here’s to a gentler, brighter 2026.

With gratitude,
Jude
